Market Connection

Helpinsure's Market Connection helps consumers, businesses and professionals find insurance by helping them connect with agents and companies that offer coverage. You may view a list of agents and companies participating in Market Connection to help your search or ask those agents and companies to contact you directly.

Along with help finding residential property coverage, TDI now offers help with personal automobile, commercial automobile, commercial property, farm & ranch and farm and ranch owners, commercial liability, professional liability and surety bonds.

Here are two ways Helpinsure Market Connection, a free and secure service, connects consumers and agents.

Consumer Search

A consumer may search for a company or agent who markets a line of insurance (example residential property) in their area.

The results will provide the consumer with a list of agents OR companies, who have indicated they market residential property insurance in the consumer's area.

Consumer Questionnaire

If the consumer would like to have an agent contact them directly, the consumer will need to complete the Enroll Questionnaire (Sign up to have an Agent or Company contact you). Once the consumer has completed the questionnaire, an agent or company may review the information and contact the consumer directly. A consumer's questionnaire is available for agents or companies to review for 45 days. Consumers have the option to remove their questionnaire from review at any time ( Unenroll Questionnaire).

Agents may review a consumer's questionnaire.

  • Select the Agent Log-in link and Log-in.
  • Select Search Consumer Questionnaires.
  • Select the type of coverage.
  • Identify a specific city, county, or zip code.
  • Enter a date range and Select Search.
  • Check the box of the consumer's information you would like to review.
  • Select View contact information.

Are you an employee of an insurance company?

The Insurer Registration Form is intended for insurance company "home office" personnel to designate a representative to access the Helpinsure Market Connection application and specify the types of insurance coverage the company markets. A representative must complete the form and have it signed by an authorized company officer. Authorization will be granted, once TDI staff has verified the information submitted. TDI staff will correspond with the representative to grant access. | Company Log-in

Are you an insurance agent?

Below are the steps necessary for a licensed insurance agent to access HMC. (Note you will need to log-in twice to fully complete/view your agent profile.)

  1. Select Agent Log-in.
  2. Select Create/Maintain Account - Licensed insurance agents must create an account via the TDI Public Account Management System.
    • Select Create New Account.
    • Enter user name, email address, and password (re-enter password).
    • Select Create Account.
    • Select User Role - HiMktIndustryAgent ONLY.
    • Select Add selected role to my profile.
    • Log-out.
  3. Log into your Account (log-in second time) - Licensed agents should select Agent Log-in and log-in to view and update your marketing information.
    Enter the email address and password you created in the steps above. Please note, both the email address and password are case sensitive.
    Enter your agent license number and date of birth.

Provided all the information you have entered matches the TDI Agent's License database, you will gain access to your profile. Your profile will display your name, license number, and appointments. Through your profile, you will be able to provide contact information and update your marketing status for various coverage categories. This information will be used to populate agents lists for consumers to search based on the coverage they are seeking.

Currently, we do not have the ability to add an agency. For the present time, agencies can add one or all of its agents. In addition, there is space in the agent's profile for additional marketing information. Enter your agency name, along with an agency website or other useful information here.

To make changes to your agent's license and agency license, please contact the TDI Agent's License Office at License@tdi.texas.gov to make the necessary changes.
